STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- A convicted killer from Clifton was caught dealing pot over the weekend, then battled an officer who tried to arrest him, police said.

Scott Fields, 36, was hiding 110 bags of marijuana in a Rubbermaid container he kept in his backpack and another dozen in his sleeve when police arrested him on Targee Street about 9 a.m. Saturday, police allege.

Fields, of the 100 block of Park Hill Avenue, is no stranger to legal trouble — he was convicted of manslaughter charges in a 1994 fatal shooting, and acquitted at trial in a 2007 murder case. Since then, he has been arrested on charges he punched a hospital security guard and knocked out two of his teeth, and on drug charges in an unrelated case.

The most recent arrest happened on the 500 block of Targee Street. A police officer spotted Fields sell marijuana to another man, identified in court papers as Al Harley.

When police approached Fields, he ran, dropping his backpack, court papers allege. He also repeatedly punched at one of the officers who moved in to arrest him, court papers allege.

In July 1997, Fields was sentenced to three to nine years in prison stemming from the shooting death of a Silver Lake man in May 1994. He had entered a Serrano plea to first-degree manslaughter, which means he didn’t admit guilt but pleaded guilty because he feared a harsher sentence if convicted at trial.

In July 2009, a jury in state Supreme Court, St. George, acquitted Fields and Vanice Dale, then 23, of Clifton, in connection with the May 20, 2007, killing of Brooklyn resident Wayne Kennedy.

The 18-year-old was gunned down inside a Clifton apartment building. No physical evidence at the scene linked Fields to the killing and the suspect’s cousin testified that Fields was not the gunman he saw.

Police arrested Fields twice over a one-month period in 2010, Advance records show.

In the first incident, on April 12 of that year, police had alleged, he was visiting an acquaintance at Staten Island University Hospital, Ocean Breeze, and attacked a security guard who asked him to stop and show identification during a routine check outside the emergency room. Fields spat in the guard’s face, then punched him and knocked out his two front teeth, according to police.

In the second, on May 9, police arrested Fields after, authorities had alleged, they caught him sitting in a parked car with several bags of marijuana in his hand and stashed inside a coffee cup.

The disposition of the 2010 cases was not available yesterday.

This time around, Fields is charged with several misdemeanors — fourth-degree criminal sale of marijuana, fourth- and fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, third-degree attempted assault and resisting arrest — as well as unlawful possession of marijuana, which is a violation, according to Peter N. Spencer, a spokesman for District Attorney Daniel Donovan.

Fields was arraigned in Stapleton Criminal Court Sunday, where his bail was set at $1,500. He’s due back in court tomorrow.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- A Port Richmond man was sentenced today to seven years in prison stemming from a slaying last year inside a Mariners Harbor apartment building.
Frankie Nelson, 23, pleaded guilty in November in state Supreme Court, St. George, to attempted first-degree manslaughter in connection with the Sept. 17, 2010, shooting of Jerome Mitchell.
Mitchell, 23, was gunned down about 4 a.m. in the lobby of 55 Holland Ave. in the Arlington Terrace Apartments complex, said police.
The victim, known to his friends as "Romey," "Rome Black" and "Nino," was hit in the stomach and later pronounced dead at Richmond University Medical Center, West Brighton, authorities said.
Nelson was arrested three weeks after the shooting on Oct. 7, 2010.
The Faber Street resident was charged with second-degree murder and two counts of criminal weapon possession.
Peter N. Spencer, spokesman for District Attorney Daniel Donovan, said prosecutors were hindered by a lack of evidence.
Spencer said there was no forensic evidence, no DNA, no video putting the defendant at the scene and no murder weapon recovered. A witness also was reluctant to testify, he said.
Besides prison time, Nelson was sentenced to five years’ post-release supervision.
Considering the case’s strengths and weaknesses, Nelson’s lawyer, Mario F. Gallucci, said the plea deal and disposition were "satisfactory to all."

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A Mariners Harbor man trying to take money from an acquaintance fired a bullet just a few inches away from the man, blasting a hole in a nearby window, police allege.

Police say Eric Hemphill, 20, of Holland Avenue confronted his victim in a 7th-floor hallway at 35 Holland Ave., part of the Arlington Terrace Apartments complex in Mariners Harbor, at about 1:30 p.m. Thursday.

“Give me my money,” Hemphill told the man, grabbing him, according to police. They struggled, and the victim broke free and ran off, but as he ran, “he did hear a shot behind him and observed a bullet hole in the window near where he was standing,” according to court papers.

Police arrested Hemphill on Friday, charging him with two counts of first-degree attempted robbery, first-and second-degree attempted assault, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and criminal trespass.

He’s being held on $15,500 cash or $30,500 bond, until his next appearance in Stapleton Criminal Court on Thursday.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - He had a suspended driver’s license, and when police spotted him driving and talking on his cell phone, instead of pulling over, he sped off, then jumped out of his car in a bid to escape, according to authorities.

Police say Reginald M. Johnson, 38, of Roxbury Street, Mariners Harbor, was driving at the corner of Richmond Terrace and South Avenue at 11:45 a.m. Sunday when officers spotted him on his phone.

He sped away, police allege, then ditched his vehicle a 2003 GMC, on Northfield Court, and tried to jump over a fence.

Officers caught up with him, though, and he wrestled with two officers, kicking and flailing as he they tried to cuff him, police said.

Johnson is charged with resisting arrest, third-degree unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and second-degree obstructing governmental administration.

Nation: There’s a line from your “Stay Schemin” verse about Kobe’s soon to be ex-wife Vanessa that has gotten some negative attention. Can you speak to what you were trying to express with that line?
Drake: That line came from a conversation about being this young and making this much money and the fear of losing it all. I just used his potential situation to address my own life. I never intended to offend Vanessa or anyone else. That line had everything to do with me and what goes on in my head as a 25 year old man with this much income flowing in. Kobe is and always will be a friend and an icon to me.

There’s a bit of a Basketball Wives saga going down this week. It started when Jennifer Williams made comments in an interview the other day saying that Evelyn Lozada “hates the fact that I’m really good friends with NeNe [Leakes], and she hates the fact that me and Mashonda are good friends.” Yesterday, Evelyn rebutted that statement by taking to Twitter to unleash her emotions on Jennifer. Evelyn wrote “So @iamjennifer thinks I’m MADD that she’s hanging out with @NeNeLeakes??? Bitch pls! interview coming soon.” Well, that interview with Necole Bitchie is here, and Evelyn isn’t holding back. It’s super-duper-long, so we’ll just pull a few of the best quotes, and then do yourself a favor and read the entire thing. In true Evelyn form, she’s honest, blunt, and doesn’t hold back what’s on her mind. At the top, she explains that she’s nt jealous of anyone, and just to clear that up, she called NeNe Leakes to discuss matters.

Nene and I spoke on the phone yesterday. She was like, “I am so happy that you called me because I have had discussions with Jennifer, and I told her I know that Evelyn doesn’t have a problem with me. Why would she? I know it wasn’t an issue with me and I told her that.” I don’t care who Jennifer hangs out with. I get it! You’re single. You’re having a good time. We’re in two different spaces right now, and frankly I don’t want to be in the club every night because my life is different…Why am I a bully because I’m straight forward with how I feel? I’m verbal and I don’t keep sh*t in like she does. I’m not like that. If have a problem and you hurt me, I’m like, “Girl, you bothered me with this.” For her, she doesn’t say sh*t on Twitter, but she sure has a lot to say on camera. That’s my thing, say it in my face! You’ll see. I really hope that when the show does air–that it shows that she’s not a good friend because what good friend would do that to somebody? If I started talking and doing interviews about everything I know, you would be done. That whole Barbie good girl sh*t would be done…She’s trying to remain relevant because I gave her a story line! Let’s just keep it real. I’m just being all the way honest. Every time I try to come down a little bit–you know how time heals everything–then, boom! Jennifer does another interview. It’s like why are you always talking about me? Saturday, there was a filming, and it was chaos…The fact that you leave that, go back home and do an interview is crazy to me. I don’t get it. That b*tch done lost her mind.

It’ll all start going down before our very eyes when season four begins on February 20.

The SAG Awards, as we have noted, often have a curious way of letting us know what the Oscars are going to deliver. So when the Screen Actors Guild doled out its golden statuettes on Sunday night (January 29), we couldn't help but feel there were more than a few hints at how the Academy Awards might shake out in a few weeks.
What are we to make of the upset SAG win for "The Help" in outstanding cast in a movie, for instance? Where does this leave "The Artist," which had been looking increasingly, inevitably like the big champ come Oscar night, yet only won outstanding male performance (Jean Dujardin) at the SAGs?

According to rumors, Kris Jenner's hairdresser Alex Roldan is Khloe's real father and the resemblance of the two is rather striking!
This news comes after Robert Kardashian's ex-wives said he opened up to them that Khloe was not his real daughter.
Since then, the true identity of Khloe's dad has been questioned, with one tabloid even saying OJ Simpson might be Khloes' pop!
Well, another website says they have the answer:

Meet Alex Roldan, Kris Jenner’s hairdresser. This is Khloe Kardashian’s biological father. He worked on a music video that Kris Kardashian did for her 30th birthday called “I Love My Friends." Alex is now a hairdresser in West Hollywood. While Robert Kardashian was only 5’7″ tall, Alex is a much larger man, standing approximately six feet tall. BTW, Khloe’s middle name is Alexandra.

It looks like Kris Jenner might be planning a special show to inform Khloe of just who her real father is.

Kris is taking this another step forward. She wants to introduce Khloe’s real biological father as a plot point on a “very special episode” of one of the Kardashian shows.
We’re going to spoil her surprise by introducing him here first. (FYI, Kris did tell Khloe who the man is already, so this is not coming a surprise for anyone in their family. Plus it’s all leaking out this week, despite Kris’ desire to keep it a secret until showtime to make the ratings as high as possible.)

While this hasn't been verified by any member of the Kardashian family, Khloe and Alex do look alike. You can even see Alex in Kris Jenner's video "I Love My Friends" at the 3:17 mark.

Cory Gunz Arrested On Gun Charge

Son of a ~~bitch~~ gun. Cory Gunz was arrested for possession of a loaded firearm yesterday afternoon in the Bronx. Today, Cory’s father Peter Gunz spoke to MTV about the arrest.

The details are still sketchy, but I can confirm that he was arrested with a firearm yesterday in the Bronx. They caught him around 2p.m. in the afternoon with a loaded gun in his knapsack. It was definitely an illegal search.
I spoke to the arresting officer, and so far, what I’m hearing from him is that they got a phone call at the station saying they should ‘look out”. According to [the officer], they didn’t know he was Cory Gunz. They just saw a bunch of kids following him around. What I will say is that the officer that arrested Cory, actually happened to be a cool dude. After arresting Cory, sitting down with him and talking, he felt bad about the situation.
At the end of the day, there’s a reason for everything, but at the same time, in New York, it’s mandatory jail time. To go to a precinct and see your son, your junior, in handcuffs, it’s heartbreaking. Anytime you see your child in jail, in the cell, in handcuffs, it’s very hard. He’s walked down some of the same paths that I walked down, but you never want to see your kids go through what you went through. This is Cory’s first offense, but sometimes they like to make an example out of rappers and people with any kind of celebrity to them.

Rapper Machine Gun Kelly's tour took an unexpected stop early this morning -- to jail ... after he was busted by police in Florida for misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

According to the website for the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, MGK (real name Richard Baker) was busted at 4:12 AM and released a few hours later after posting $100 bond.

Kelly tweeted about the arrest, saying, "Just spent my entire night in a f**king Florida jail...s**t escaladed way to quick last night, it always does with us though."

MGK is currently touring and played the State Theatre in St. Petersburg last night. His next tour date is in Los Angeles on February 8.
