STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Unmoved by his protests of innocence, a justice sentenced a Stapleton man to up to five years behind bars for a theft conviction.

Edward Anderson, 38, was convicted at trial in December of swiping camera equipment from a car in New Brighton more than three years ago.

Anderson was arrested in April of last year after authorities matched a blood sample found in the auto to his DNA profile, said prosecutors. Continue reading

 Convicted cop killer Ronell Wilson hatched a plan to avoid the death penalty by impregnating a female guard with his evil seed at the federal jail in Brooklyn.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. –

The 28-year-old man shot and wounded by police after he pointed a gun at two officers Saturday night is a repeat, violent felon who had been out of prison for just four months, according to law enforcement sources.

Sources identify the man, who was a suspect in a home invasion robbery, as Michael Walker, 28.

Walker has 14 prior arrests on his record, sources said; public records show he was conditionally released to parole on Oct. 3, after serving roughly four years of a five-year prison sentence for second-degree assault. Records show he also served another two years and five months behind bars for a second-degree assault and felony drug possession conviction in 2004. Continue reading
